Bill Burke is the Chairman Emeritus of Liberty Coating Company providing his extensive knowledge and experience. Bill was the former president of Bredero Price and has dedicated over 30 years to the pipe coating industry. After his career with Bredero Price, and prior to starting up Liberty Coating Company, Bill was a member of the board of directors of several domestic and international businesses.
Don Barder is President and Chief Operating Officer of Liberty Coating Company with 25 years experience in the pipe coating industry, 12 of which were with Bredero Price. Don spent several years in Malaysia and Singapore in various management positions. His position prior to Liberty Coating was with a Japanese conglomerate, Sumitomo Corporation of America, as Product Manager for linepipe officing in Houston. Don along with Bill Burke formed Liberty Coating Company in 2001 and partnered themselves with Liberty Sales and Distribution in 2004.
Samuel Thomas is currently a Senior Advisor to Liberty’s Coating Company’s Management and Sales teams. Sam comes to Liberty with over four decades of pipeline coating experience in management, engineering, project management and research & development. Sam has a B.S. in Chemistry, from Norwich University and an M.S. in Polymer Science & Engineering, from Polymer Science Institute, University of Massachusetts at Amherst and was a Research Fellow at McCrone Institute for Microscopy.
Steve Freed is currently our Vice President of Business Development & Technology. Steve joined Liberty as Director of Technical Sales in 2012 with over 12 years working his way through the ranks in the ductile iron industry and is a licensed Professional Engineer in New Jersey. Prior to joining the team, Steve held various positions including, Quality Control Manager, Sales Engineer and Sales Representative with a leading ductile iron pipe manufacturer.
Dennis Wilson brings 28 years of experience in the utility industries, having begun his career with a ductile iron pipe manufacturer in 1991. He also worked as a Project Manager in utility plant construction prior to moving into Sales in 2001. Dennis provides Liberty Coating with an increasing national sales presence in the pipe coating application industry.
Nora is currently our Vice President of Customer Relations & Strategic Planning. Nora joined Liberty in 2013 as General Manager of Pipe Bending and Fabrication with over 10 years of natural gas utility experience. Nora’s previous utility experience includes engineering and design, regulatory compliance and new residential construction.
Rebecca is currently the Customer Service Representative for the Ductile Iron division of Liberty Coating for both facilities in Pennsylvania and Alabama. She also handles a portion of the carbon steel division as well. Rebecca brings over 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector while living in Tennessee, before joining Liberty in 2015.
Tonia Paul is currently our Customer Service Representative for the Carbon Steel division of Liberty Coating. She joined Liberty Coating in 2015 as an Administrative Assistant and brings over ten years of customer service and office support experience to the team.
William H. Clark, Jr.
William H. Clark, Jr.(Bill) is the Vice President of Operations. Bill has a B.S. in Civil Engineering, from Drexel University and an M.S. in Engineering Management also from Drexel University. Bill comes to Liberty with over 35 years of pipeline experience in management, engineering, project management and managing multiple construction crews. Bill has a unique ability of identifying the shortcoming within an organization and implementing strategies, procedures and training to ensure that individuals and teams are engaged with the long term goals of the company.
Dave Coons is currently Liberty Coating Company's Plant Superintendent with over 35 years of pipe coating experience. Dave is responsible for overseeing all coating and yard operations.
Joe Barder is currently the Supervisor of Liberty’s newest business line, Pipe Bending and Fabrication. Joe has over 10 years of experience in both the Specialty Pipe Coating & Protecto 401 Coating plants. Joe managed our Bessemer, Alabama coating facility between 2010 and 2013.
Jeff is currently our Operations Manager. Jeff joined Liberty in 2012 with over 30 years of experience in the ductile iron industry. Prior to joining the team, Jeff’s previous experience includes: yard operations, shipping operations, and overseeing ductile iron finishing.
Scott is currently our Safety and Quality Assurance Auditor. Scott joined Liberty in 2012 after spending over 25 years in the ductile iron pipe industry. Scott held various positions in the industry including working in the shipping department, line inspection and physical property testing.
Bryan is currently our Manager of Yard Operations. Bryan joined Liberty in 2010 with over 18 years of manufacturing experience. Bryan’s previous experience includes: plant maintenance, machine operations, operations supervisor as well as shipping and operations lead man.
Ryan Cavanaugh is our Shipping and Receiving Manager. Ryan joined Liberty in 2016 in our Traceability group and worked there until he was promoted in 2018.
Jeff He joined Liberty in 2017. Jeff is a graduate of Rider University with a BSBA degree in Global Supply Chain Management. Jeff is currently our Supply Chain Manager supporting the Operations group in inventory management, direct and indirect procurement services, and supplier relationship management.
Alex is Liberty Coating Company’s HR Generalist. Alex comes to us with over 25 years of experience in business and 20 specifically in Human Resources.
Kathy is our Chief Financial Officer and has worked at Liberty Coating Company since July 2010. Kathy, since 2001, worked for the company’s third party accounting firm handling the Liberty Account. Kathy comes to Liberty with 30 years in public accounting. During her years in public accounting, Kathy worked in all functions from Administrative support to senior accountant, giving her a well rounded background. Kathy is an Enrolled Agent, licensed to prepare tax returns with the Internal Revenue Service.
JoAnn Conrad is in Liberty Coating Company’s Accounting Department and has over 29 years of office experience. JoAnn started her career at Energy Coatings Company in 1985 handling the Shipping and Receiving Operations and is now responsible for the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for Liberty Coating Company. JoAnn has developed long standing relationships with our customers in her efforts to provide timely and accurate support and assistance.
Marge Opacki is Liberty Coating Company’s accounting clerk. Marge joined Liberty Coating in 2014 and brings over 17 years of retail inventory management and credit process experience to the team.
Kim Amerman is currently the executive assistant. She brings over 20 years corporate office experience to Liberty Coating Company.
Sheri is currently our Receptionist/Administrative Assistant. Sheri joined Liberty Coating LLC in 2018 and brings over 18 years corporate office/customer service experience to the team.
